Monte Amiata, a mountain for all seasons

In antiquity, the Monte Amiata was a volcano. Today it is a mountain range that lies in the southern part of Tuscany, between the Val d’Orcia and the Maremma Toscana, covered by lush vegetation right up to its summit, at a height of 1738 meters.
