The history of Bagno Vignoni
Fundamental for the development of Bagno Vignoni since ancient time was spa resort.
By the evidence of numerous Etruscans and Roman later, they are many people that were attending this beautiful place, from Pope Pius II to Lorenco de Medici. The very characteristic “Square of sources” (Piazza delle sorgenti), which is located at the center of the village, dates from 1500.
Immersed in the Mediterranean, carved into the rock, you can see four medieval water mills, in which the water is coming from the thermal bath.
