The Pro Loco of Piancastagnaio is pleased to announce that on July 28, 2024, the III edition of the Amiata Walking Marathon will return, a non-competitive walk divided into three stages of 10, 18, and 42 km that winds through the streets and squares of the historic center of Piancastagnaio and along the hiking trails of Mount Amiata, from the ancient chestnut groves near the largest beech forest in Europe, to the summit of the ancient volcano.
The sporting event, dedicated to promoting tourism in the area, will be organized with the patronage of the Municipality of Piancastagnaio and in collaboration with local associations.
